Lochan na h-Achlaise
This is a collaborative work along with Jane Hunter, textile artist. Lochan na h-Achlaise is a body of water on Rannoch Moor – well known for being a favourite with photographers, who can frequently be seen alongside the road into Glencoe photographing the lochan.
Oil on canvas painting with merino wool stitching. The stitching relates to a bathometric map of the lochan – it is a bird’s eye view, overlaid on the view of the lochan from a human standpoint.
