Skye from the Kyle Train
oil on aluminium
Looking across the Inner Sound to the Cuillin Range on the train from Kyle of Lochalsh, on a “changeable weather” day in early summer.
As parts of this painting are bare metal, there is a reflectiveness to the piece in places. This adds an extra, changeable dimension to the work as it will appear slightly different as the light changes throughout the day.
Frame colour appears slightly different in the photos, due to them being taken under different light conditions to show the dynamic appearance of the aluminium. True colour is a very light “straw” tint to white.
